SKATING AWAY ON THE THIN ICE OF A NEW DAY
Meanwhile back in the year one --- when you belonged to no-one ---
You didn't stand a chance son, if your pants were undone.
`cause you were bred for humanity and sold to society ---
One day you'll wake up in the present day ---
A million generations removed from expectations
Of being who you really want to be.
Skating away ---
Skating away ---
Skating away on the thin ice of the new day.
So as you push off from the shore,
Won't you turn your head once more --- and make your peace with everyone?
For those who choose to stay,
Will live just one more day ---
To do the things they should have done.
And as you cross the wilderness, spinning in your emptiness:
You feel you have to pray.
Looking for a sign
That the universal mind (!) has written you into the passion play.
Skating away on the thin ice of the new day.
And as you cross the circle line, the ice-wall creaks behind ---
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly in the corner of your eye ---
Shining in the setting sun.
Well, do you ever get the feeling that the story's
Too damn real and in the present tense?
Or that everybody's on the stage, and it seems like
You're the only person sitting in the audience?
Skating away on the thin ice of the new day.
i've heard stories of people finding a way to get their publisher card back... is it possible?
if so, how can i get mine back?
i want to know what those pricks have written in there.
I guess I forgot to mention...I was one of them.

Those files are NOT as CONFIDENTAL as you might think. I know that in one cong. a m/s spent an entire afternoon opening and reading every sealed envelope that was in the file.{The file cabinet was left unlocked} In the cong. I went to the PO and SEC. were the only ones who had keys to the locked file and I can assure you that they both read all the about the "sheep" that was entrusted in their care.

this one is my biggest pet peeves.. growing up in the borg, i had a hard time finding any job, let alone a decent paying one.. i had to quit many jobs because my parents said "i was missing out to many meetings and field service.".
but how come the elders who worked at ford, chysler, gm, or any big factories, that worked shift work, and missed meetings every three weeks consistently for decades, and that was okay.
the response i would get was, "well they have a family to raise and look after.
YES!!! The elders have the power to make JW quit their job. I know of a case where a woman studied, got baptized and shortly thereafter the elders told her that she would have to quit here job because she was a LAB TECH and her having to handle blood as part of her duties would be going against Bible principles. This woman was a lab tech for many years and was respected by her other workmates. Well sadly, because of one elder in particular, who lead the crusade, she quit her job, lost all her benefits, lost her home because the followed the elders directive. Do you think she is still a JW?
YES/NO----What do think?
i'm just wondering...... i remember going to some wedding receptions for couples who got married at the kingdom hall,.
and i hate to be mean but, super boring, and bad, how bad you ask ??
ok here we go ..... - the worst had to be one couple played kingdom meolodies for their wedding dances, i couldn't believe it.. - no alcohol (i'm sure we all experienced a few of these), reception was over by 9:30.. - no music at all, just a gathering of people, and they ended the reception with a prayer, i thought i was at an assembly.. - food, like if you can't afford to get married don't, like frozen stuff bought at your local grocery store, and still in the package when you got up to the tables, how tacky.. - you could always tell a couple who couldn't afford much, when you had to drive 50 miles into the back woods to find some dinky little community hall they rented for $100.. - i remember one where the bride was pregnant, i was really surprised they allowed them to use the kingdom hall.. - another classic was, they had this band (of all jw's of course) and man they were bad.
I one went to a wedding reception in the gym of the local elementary school
It was in July had severe thunderstorm humid as hell (90 degrees+)and the their was no music and the kids about fifty of the ran around all night...the smell in the gym was you know!
the food was your typical "bring-a dish", that was ice cold and tasted awful
Not quite the worst reception I ever attended as dub......
elder's book add-on.

what not to put on disfellowshipping forms
During the Kingdom Ministry Schools that were held during November and December of 1994, elders in the United States were given information that was to be written into their "Pay Attention To Yourselves And To All The Flock" book. This information concerned the S77 and S79 forms that local judicial committees use to report disfellowshippings to the branch office in Brooklyn. The following was read to the elders, twice, for them to write word for word into their books.
Six Expressions That Should Not Be Used on S77 and S79 Forms
1. Anything alluding to or naming one of the Society's attorneys
2. Any mention of the Legal Department
3. Any comments referring to direction from the Society
4. Any comments mentioning anyone other than the committee itself as a possible influence in the decision reached
5. Any comments that might suggest to someone with a critical eye that the committee did not reach its decision on its own but, instead, somehow yielded to the influence of an outside party
6. Any comments indicating that the elders mishandled the case or committed any error in the investigation or the judicial committee process.
I will now take these points one at a time and pose some questions and make some comments about them.
The first two points are closely related, so I will take them together. Normally, the Society's Legal Department would be consulted only under very unusual circumstances. There would not likely be any inclination for the judicial committee to mention either the Society's Legal Department or their attorneys by name on the S77 or S79 forms unless they had been consulted on that case. If the Legal Department had been consulted, then it would have had some effect on the conduct and possibly the outcome of the judicial hearing. That being so, why is the Society telling the elders on the judicial committee not to mention them if they had to be consulted?
Why are the elders told not to mention it when every aspect of the judicial process is conducted according to direction from the Society?
Go to the Elders Book , "Pay Attention to Yourselves and to all the Flock" and look at Units 5a and 5b to see how precisely the Watchtower Society directs the elders in their conducting judicial matters. Having been an elder for many years, I can attest to the accuracy of what is presented there.
By the Way - S ince this page was first developed, it seems that a lawyer from the Watchtower Society contacted the Internet Service Provider of the man who had the "Pay Attention" book on his web page and threatened them with a lawsuitยน if they did not remove those portions of the "Pay Attention" book.
This proscription against mentioning and direction from the Society, presumably includes not referring to any comments referring to direction from the Society not to mention direction from the Society. But I have to ask, why does the Society not want the judicial committee to mention this direction from the Society?
i came across this on the web.
it's a copy of the official deed for bet-sarim as printed in the 1930 awake.
i found it very amusing the the prophets mentioned in heb.
